The Artist

An artist of land and sea, flora & fauna I am inspired by the creative process, and observing creation
around me.
Art, for me, is an essential need, a passion, and a way to connect with my environment, all while
sharing the beauty of the natural world with you. Working plein air, from life, and within my studio, I
work in acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolour and mixed media adding elements of texture, depth and
sensory connection.
Having spent most of my life in Cornwall, I believe it to be an incredibly inspiring place to grow up and
live. Family outings to woodlands, the moors, and coastline, linked with my dad’s passion for sharing
his knowledge of plants, insects, and wildlife, instilled in me a profound appreciation for this beautiful
county. My intention is to capture the heartfelt essence the landscape of Cornwall, rural land, moods
of the sea, and its diverse flora and fauna.
The artworks I produce aim to inspire and foster a connection between people and nature,
encouraging love and care for the environment, recognised by buyers from the UK and internationally.

My creative journey has been enhanced through working with other professional artists via the St Ives School of Painting, Newlyn Art school, and Visual Awareness.
My aim is to produce affordable, high-quality artworks using recognized premium materials. I
ethically repurpose older canvases, following the example of the Masters, to honor the environment
by minimizing waste – these are always labeled as environmentally friendly or “green” canvases.
Additionally, I utilize a county-approved framing service.

The Art

All my inspiration is environmentally sourced through plein air sketches and reference photographs.  I also work with Associate Photographers and my work is created ona variety of art supports including Canvas, Linen, Cornish Slate, Paper & “Green” environmentally friendly canvas.

I use a County recognised framing service – Stable Art.

Art Care guidance – To prevent fading, careful placement of your art in your home away from direct sunlight.  Use strong wall hangings that will support the weight of the art work.  Naturally occurring dust should be removed with a soft cloth.
